Description

The BA Academy Alumni Association is an association composed of former students, faculty staff, and interested individuals of the Nazareth Bible Academy School as members.

The Association would like to recruit an Administrative & Accountant Assistant on part-time basis (two days per week – flexible - to start with). The following is the main duties expected and the requirement needed for the post:

Duties:

  • Managing databases & filing systems (correspondences, documents, archives, etc.)
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/manual
  • Organizing statutory meetings of the Association
  • Support the Executive Secretary (ES) & Executive Committee (EC) members in the discharge of their duties
  • Assist in website information updating
  • Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets
  • Coordinate with ES and EC to prepare budgets
  • Ensure compliance with the Association Manual and Government regulations
  • Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries
  • Accurately perform weekly reconciliations of cash, check and bank transactions, and tally and file invoices
  • Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation
  • Prepare income tax returns and Civil Society reporting requirements
  • Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, financial statements, and balance sheets
  • Complete end of month close procedures

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting & Administrative skills
  • Work experience in Accounting & Administrative Assistant
  • Accounting skills (with Peachtree accounting software)
  • Interpersonal skills (with committees, members, public relation)
  • Communication skills (verbal, meeting facilitation, project assistant)
  • Writing skills (taking minutes, assist in writing newsletter, in report preparation)
  • Organized, creative, self-starter and takes initiative
  • Time management (prioritize multiple issues)
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Website, etc.)
