Tetra Tech Inc. is working on USAID-Ethiopia’s Engineering Services and Construction Oversight (ESCO) project which is currently in its second phase. The project includes providing engineering services and oversight for health facilities, national blood bank service, water supply for health facilities, rural water supply and sanitation.

Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking expressions of interest for an Administrative Specialist. The Administrative Specialist will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Manage property inventory according to Tetra Tech’s policies and USAID’s regulations
  • Arrange travel, logistics, meetings, and appointments for staff
  • Coordinate with field staff to support purchase requests, travel authorization, vehicle maintenance, and other administrative matters
  • Oversee procurement process for locally purchased goods according to USAID’s and Tetra Tech’s policies and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Perform human resources functions for locally hired staff; manage recruitment, support COP in compensation planning, and coordinate employee benefits
  • Coordinate with home office contracts and administrative staff, as required
  • Ensure compliance with Tetra Tech’s and USAID’s administrative policies and procedures
  • Reports to the Office Manager.

Job Requirements

Essential educational, experience, and competency requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in administration, business, or a relevant field
  • At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in managing administrative and operational functions
  • Experience working on donor-funded programs in developing countries, preferably for USAID
  • Knowledge of US government regulations for USAID direct contracts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
