PURPOSE OF THE JOB POSITION
The purpose of the job position is to plan, direct, and control the commercial freight transportation business unit of the company.
Major Responsibilities:
- Plan & control the commercial freight transportation business of the company,
- Fleet operations management, and fleet asset management for a desired outcome of available and reliable fleet; and economically run and cost-effective fleet operation.
- Oversee cost control measures to be applied to trucks,
- Track trucks availability by relevant KPI,
- Maintain an excellent working knowledge of, and works proactively and in accordance with, all current and anticipated legislative requirements and best practice relevant to the Transport Industry,
- Provides creative & consistent leadership to develop the transport team,
JOB REQUIREMENT
- BA Degree in management/ economics/ logistics/ business related fields,
- At least five years or above experience in a freight transport business,
- Managerial experience is required
