Job Description

The data encoder will lead the data collection activities of various projects in different parts of the country and will report directly to the program manager.

Responsibilities include:

Provide contextual assistance in the development of technical and financial proposals of various TORs.

Encoding includes:

• Designing of tools in different data collection application
• Monitor the quality of data that is being collected
• Provide training for data enumerators
• Incorporate comment on the design in different levels
• Capacity building of insights team by sharing expertise and skill.
• The role will require travel within Ethiopia depending on the project need.
• Minimum 3 years of Post Qualification Experience with 2 years working as a data encoder and quality control.
• Experience in coding, software development, and software adoption.
• Experience working in a team setting with a tight schedule.

• Fluent in speaking and writing English, Amharic and other local languages is a plus

Educational background

• Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Demography, Economics, Sociology and other related fields.
