PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Deputy Asset Manager is responsible to provide support for effective administrative control of expendable and non- expendable NEBEassets, assets disposal and renewal of inventory data, executes processes and transactions ensuring high quality and accuracy of work.S/he also supports inmanaging the operations of the asset management team
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for full life cycle Physical Assets Management at NEBE;
- Organize receiving function (Receive, inventory, and label company’s assets; Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that all goods meet specifications and corresponds to the order);
- Maintains inventory for the warehouse and other storage locations, updating it accurately and timely for all stockroom items;
- Keep the related documents in an organized and easy to access manner;
- Update records;
- Ensure old assets are disposed, following government rules and regulations;
- Establish automated workflow for the Asset and Inventory management system in collaboration with the manager;
- Keep up to date the inventory in order to meet the organization needs
- Lead the bi-annual physical inventory process and adjust the asset system;
- Reconcile physical inventory with assets data managed by financial tools in the organization and investigate any inconsistencies;
- Develop a good working relationship with internal clients and share information on a regular basis;
- Comply with laws, regulations and existing standards;
- Prepare periodic reports;
- Perform other activities given by the asset manager
Job Requirement
- MA/BA Degree in Procurement, supplies management, logistics, supply chain management or related fields from recognized university
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience for MA or 6 years for BA
SKILLS & COMPETENCES
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing working effectively, especially fortaking oral and written instructions and following established procedures;
- Ability to use inventory softwares, IFMIS or similar asset management systems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft office;
- Attentive to details with high level of accuracy;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Complete tasks with limited supervision (proactive);
- Demonstrating strong communication and presentation skills;
- Willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality and impartiality (Not being a member of any political party);
- Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness;
- Fluency in English and Amharic required (written and spoken).
