Field of activity

The special initiative 'Training and Employment' (SIAB) aims to improve the conditions for sustainable economic and employment growth and to promote investment in partner countries in Africa. The project 'Job partnerships and SME funding: Cluster funding agricultural and food industry' in Ethiopia (SIAB II) focuses on strengthening medium-sized companies in clusters of the agricultural and food industry. The focus is on the environment of the so-called integrated agro-industrial parks (Integrated Agro-Industrial Parks, IAIP), ie on the economic space between the IAIP and agricultural production.

Your tasks

  • Accompanying a cooperative association in the development of a high quality service offering for the surrounding agro-industrial companies
  • Strengthening the technical, organizational and participatory capacities of the cooperative association and, if applicable, its member companies
  • Support of the project component 'business services and cluster infrastructure'
  • Support in dialogue formats with private companies and the operators of rural transformation centers

your profile

  • Completed studies or completed training in the field of agricultural economy, agricultural management, agricultural and food industry, organizational development or similar
  • Several years of professional experience within or in connection with private business associations and / or companies in the agricultural industry
  • High understanding of the agricultural sector and of agricultural value chains
  • Very good self-organization skills, reliable, independent and structured way of working
  • Experience in working with local partners to design and develop common solutions as well as networking and teamwork
