Internal/ External Vacancy Announcement

Professional Alliance for Development (PADet) is an indigenous, not-for-profit; a nongovernmental humanitarian organization established in 1998. It has been serving disadvantaged and marginalized segments of the community especially youth, women children in the areas of Reproductive Health HIV/AIDs Prevention and Care, Child Protection, Women Development, and Livelihood and Food Securities for the last 22 years.

Currently, PADet has a plan to implement Youth Livelihood/ employment creation project in Wagemra ( Sahila and Abergele woredas) and South Gonder ( “Tach Gayent” and “Lay Gayent” woredas) zones of Amhara Region and need to recruit qualified and competent Nominees in the following job opportunities.

Job summary:

Coordinate woreda project offices’ activities through the development of annual action plans, effective project tracking, monitoring and evaluation as specified in PADet’s strategic plan and management documents.

  •  Responsible to establish strong partnership with district advisory body, sector offices and work closely with the pertinent NGOs and government offices at district level to create synergy to avoid duplication of effort and leverage resource sharing for the complementary effects of jointly working, (financial resource, working place and YES hub establishment, support) etc.
  • Organize and conduct regular discussion workshop to monitor the implementation progress and identify challenges to provide on time solution.
  • Assist and support the training and coaching officers and kebele level selection committees to select smoothly targets as per the eligibility criteria
  • Assist and support with logistics when the training coaching officers provide trainings, coach and other services in their respective district.
  • Coordinate the overall project activities as to be implemented as per the details of physical and budget plan of the district.
  • Make sure the existence of data tracking system at district level to in place a well-established data management system
  • Prepare and submit period report to technical advisor in a monthly and quarterly basis etc.

Job Requirements

Education qualification, experience & skill;

  • Minimum qualification for this position is BA/BSC in agriculture, livelihood and food security development fields and with five years experience.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft basics and internet (MS Word, Excel, Access and Power point);
  • Skill in project formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  •  supervision skill
  • Proven report writing and communication skills;
  • Good interpersonal and make logical and timely decision skills

Personal Competency:

  • Willingness to work in extra working hours and weekends with staffs;
  • Highly motivated, self-managed and Strategic oriented;
  • High level commitment to achieve project goal and Objectives;
  • Able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Ability to prepare and submit quality reports timely;
