A Factory Manager typically does the following Activities:

Ø  Plan, organize, execute and control production and maintenance activities.

Ø  Manage employees training and development, productivity, effectiveness and efficiency.

Ø  Plan and oversee the production and maintenance schedule.

Ø  Address unplanned and scheduled maintenance and maintenance issues.

Ø  Responsible for ensuring quality systems are in place and comply with customer specifications.

Ø  Manage production of customer product on a timely basis per schedule.

Ø  Oversee logistics for the shipping and receiving of raw materials.

Ø  Participate in project activities

Ø  Closely follow  Environmental health and safety regulations

Ø  Control the work flow of the organization and tools to increase efficiency

Educational Qualifications and Skills Required:

Qualification/Level of studies: BSC or MSC Degrees in Industrial Engineering, Leadership, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Experience: A minimum of 12 years experiences in related field.

Required skills: 

Ø  Experienced in utilizing planning, organizing, directing and controlling skills in a flour manufacturing environment.

Ø  Excellent communication skills ( writing and verbal )

Ø  Maintenance experience and a strong mechanical aptitude

Ø  Willing to work the hours needed to complete daily tasks

Ø  Shipping and Receiving/Logistics experience a plus

Ø  Basic Computer literacy is compulsory

Ø  Packaging / Wheat flour-mill  experience a plus

Ø  Experience with KAIZEN principles is a plus

Ø  Fluently communicating in Amharic, English & Oromifa are a plus
