Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) remains a global threat and more countries are being affetected. As of 23 Feb 2020, 78,764 cases were reported from AROUND 50 countries.

Ethiopia is one of African countries identifed as one of the priority countries for Corona virus disease. Preparation and readiness are benign mounted to stregethne preventive measures to avoid imprtation of the virus by screening arriving passengers and providing information on precautionary measures.

Public communication and orientation was provided for key sectors, priority audiences, CEOs of major hospitals, health workers, Media professionals, public relation officers, Hotels, Tourism and Transport officers.

Messages focusing on protective measures for arrving and departing passnegers, hotels, taxi drivers and the general public are being developed using IEC materials, TV and Radio Spots. Media monitoring is also underway identifying and managing rumors and displl them timely with truthful messages.

Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) under the  Ministry of Health  and various partners have activated the CORONA VIRUS Disease Emergency Operation Center (EOC) as a response and prepardness platforms.

The Graphic designer will be engaged with the development of the various key messages design in various formats. Following the guidelines of the International, National and Institutional branding for the development of the designing of the various materiasl and assigned tasks. Development of varisou materials for print, digital and audio visual. The Graphic designer through a user frienly, step by step process to develop the various materials with various care givers, ensure their participation  to exchange information and their experience, identfiy gaps and needs.

The purpose of this terms of reference is therefore to engage a graphic design who has strong theoretical and very good experience specifically in the development of graphics design and video editing for  public health messages.

Responsibilities of the consultant

The Consultant will be expected  work closely with the EPHI-EOC RCCE  Team Lead and team members to ensure that visuals  or images he or she develops perfectly match with the themes of each specific messages and appropriate to the target audience. The Graphic Designer will based at EPHI-EOC full time for above motioned duration and work closely with the RCCE Team.

. Design and develop graphics images that can be used for posters, flyers, brochures, roll up banners and flip charts.

.   Update with the comments provided by RCCE team lead and members

. Get ideas of what the graphics images needed from various sources of COVID-19 messages (WHO, UNICEF, CDC) or conduct community visits of places necessary to come up with best design

.  Editing video and produce voice over for various languages of Public service announcements

.  Take pictures during workshops and guest visits and related events
