Description

  • Angla Business PLC is engaged food industry including production of fast food, catering, and food processing. The Company is in a transformation process to support its day-to-day operational activities with well-designed policies and procedures and integration through the ERP System. As part of the implementation, we would like to invite qualified, experienced and energetic candidates/applicants for the following positions.

    Key   Responsibilities and Requirements

    Finance

    • Lead the design and preparation of annual plan and budgets for review by management.
    • Assess the internal control system and propose solution for any gap if any to ensure its adequacy to manage the risks associated with the accounting records, regulatory requirements, and other transactions and financial related transaction of the Company.
    • Ensure the timely recording of the accounting transactions and its quality in terms of accuracy, reliability, completeness, and other parameters through coordinating and coaching the Finance Team.
    • Ensure the timely reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
    • Ensure the timely reconciliation of account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and handling month-end closing procedures.
    • Oversee Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Accounts Payable, produce and submit to the Finance Manager/ Concerned Management their respective aging on monthly bases and as demanded by the Management.
    • Produce periodical reports including regulatory reports (monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual and as required by the management) such as balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow statement, changes in financial position/budget variance analyses, and others as required by the senior management.
    • Analyze the financial transactions for any discrepancies and issues, rectify the discrepancies on time in line with the finance procedure and guidelines of the Company and submit a report to the Manager-Finance Department on a weekly bases.
    • Good Knowledge of financial governance such as GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations as per the governing rules (for both management and legal requirement purposes)
    • Ensure compliance of all legal requirements of the Company with respect to the financial activities.
    • Plan, assign and evaluate/review the performance of staffs under the domain.
    • Undertake other duties, which are appropriate to the level of the position, as directed by the Manager-Finance and/or the Executives.
    • Monitor and manage expenses within allotted budgets.
    • Manage financial and administration teams to achieve company financial goals.
    • Develop the overall corporate financial goals and objectives.
    • Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related problems.
    •  Closely follow-up the regular repayment of loans and advance

    Administration

    •  Ensure the development and maintenance of effective office systems (e.g., IT support, office maintenance, fixed assets, and supplier contact) and are consistent with the Company’s operating requirements.
    • Prepare annual plan and budget.
    • Support the efficient running of the Company’s daily operations.
    • Ensure all procurement processes comply with the Company’s Procurement procedure and plan.
    • Ensure the logistics activities of the Company is taking place efficiently and to the best interest of the Company and its customers.
    • Other administration duties.

    Human Resource

    • Ensure the proper implementation of the Human Capital Management Procedure.
    • Ensure staff handbook is prepared, reviewed and updated as required to comply with the Company’s and statutory procedures.
    • Maintain personnel records.
    • Coordinate recruitment/induction in line with the Company’s Human Capital Management Procedure.
    • Prepare/Ensure monthly payroll is prepared accurately, timely and consistently submit to the Concerned authorized body timely for approval and payment.
    • Ensure timely payment of payroll, employee income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other obligations as per the law of the land.
    • Conduct performance evaluation of all the staffs under his/her supervision on monthly bases.
    • Prepare and submit periodical Human Resource related reports to the concerned authorized body.
    • Other human resource activities/duties.

    Job Specification

    • Basic computer knowledge particularly accounting software and other related accounting system, like MS office, Peachtree accounting. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and running of ERP/MRP is a plus.
    • Experience in manufacturing business is advantageous.
    • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions
    • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues with external and internal customers.
    • Committed and result oriented work ethics.

    Working place for all positions is in Addis Ababa at Head office or Branches at different Sub Cities.

    Job Requirements

    Education

    • BA Degree or MA in Accounting and Finance, or related fields

    Work experience

    • 5 years for BA and 2 years for MA. For both at least  2 years in the position of Finance-Head
