Description

Ethiopian Center for Development (ECD) seeks experienced professionals for Pathway for Sustainable Employment for Women and Youth in Ethiopia (PASEWAY) project. The projects are currently seeking qualified candidates for trainer in Addis Ababa. We seek a Garment and Hotel Operation trainer. We are looking individuals with a passion for making a difference in the lives of the youth and women. Please see the criteria below for details.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare lesson plan for the training
  • Conduct trainee surveys and interviews
  • Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership on training institute quality and growth to the national standard and project standard
  • Track and compile trainee data
  • Conceptualize training materials based on data and research
  • Communicate training needs and online resources
  • Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
  • Maintain a database of all training materials
  • Conduct training through new materials

Job Requirements

Trainer Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel operation, business, or related field
  • COC  from level I-IV in garment
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ previous experience as Hotel operation trainer, corporate training , or related position
  • Proficient in computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
  • Experience with Hotel operation and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms as well as department heads
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise training projects
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, and schedules
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
