Job Overview

Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s  overall business strategy Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department and other departments of the company. Developing HR department goals, objectives, and systems Continuously training company personnel

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Implementing and revising the company’s compensation program
  • Creating and continuously revising job descriptions
  • Developing, analyzing and updating the company’s evaluation program
  • Developing, analyzing, and updating the company’s salary budget; revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a positive work environment for employees; and most importantly, a positive
  • place of accommodation and service for the company’s customers (tenants, hotel guests, etc.)
  • Performing benefits administration and maintaining affirmative action programs
  • Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
  • Ensuring all onboarding employees have access to the company’s handbook on policies and procedures; Preparing employees for job growth within the company
  • Overseeing exit interviews, maintaining department records and reports
  • Ensuring poor performing employees are spotted out and trained and conduct terminations as per the Ethiopian labor law
  • Ensuring that all employees have TIN Numbers, pension etc… and payments are paid to the appropriate government body
  • Organizing and participating in meetings, Conducting continuous trainings on company policies/procedures
  • Creating and maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
  • Continuously recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures

Requirements:

  • BA degree in relevant fields
  • Min 2 - max 5 years of proven work experience as HR Manager or other HR  Supervision role and In-depth knowledge of local labor law and HR best practices
  • people oriented, results driven and needs to have knowledge of HR systems and databases and able to develop HR strategy and ensure implementation
  • Needs to have negotiation, presentation and leadership skills
  • Able to build and effectively manage employee relationships at all levels of the company
  • knowledge of local labor law, HR systems, databases and able to lead multiple employees- Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply
