Currently, Tetra Tech Inc. is providing USAID-Ethiopia with Engineering Services and Construction Oversight (ESCO) on select projects countrywide. The ESCO project, now in its 2nd phase, provides engineering services and construction oversight for new health facilities construction, water supply systems for health facilities, and rural water supply and sanitation.
Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking expressions of interest for Interns who wish to participate in the Young Woman Engineer and Architect Internship Program and to gain on-the-job training while supporting ESCO-2 projects under the direct guidance of experienced engineers and architects. Interns will be responsible for the following activities:
Supporting the technical engineering team;
- Performing site visits to construction sites and prepare reports;
- Providing technical reviews of submittal documents, such as drawing, feasibility studies, and BoQs and; and,
- Providing technical input for any queries USAID may raise on study, design, and/or construction work.
Job Requirements
Essential educational, experience, and competency requirements:
- A recent BSc graduate in civil engineering, architecture, construction management or/ and related engineering field;
- No previous work experience is required;
- Eager to learn and work with the office and field staffs;
- Demonstrated skills of proactivity, quick learner and self-learning;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Takes responsibility for action and manages constructive criticism; and
- Knowledge of spoken and written English is required.
