Currently, our modern processing facility, using the latest European processing technology, is located in Tulofa, near Sheno town (65 km from Addis Ababa) while our office is located in CMC, Addis Ababa.

Job Summary:

Legal Officer responsible to prepare a variety of legal documentation, reviews legal documentation prepared for Senselet foods Processing Plc or arising from the work of our company provides legal advice to Senior Managers and staff in all areas of activities, Engage with external partners, governments, and non-governmental organizations, international organizations, etc.

Details of duties and responsibilities:

• Interpret laws, rulings and regulations, examine legal data to determine advisability, negotiate settlements of labor disputes, conduct legal hearings, decide causes of legal action, use knowledge of legal procedural rules, and others
• Providing advice and support to the Human Resource Development and Management Department.
• Providing practical legal assistance about different legal issues like business contracts, employment cases, and etc.
• Working with the fellow staff on projects
• Assisting in fulfillment of all different legal requirements
• Advising on the minimum liability and legal exposure for the business
• Ensuring proper drafting of the legal documents and other contractual documents after assessing, and understanding them
• Taking important actions about different legal matters
• Managing internal and external legal resources
• Reviewing and advising effectively to reduce and control risks to organization and ensuring that the organization, controls and procedures are appropriate
• Representing the Company and, handling and winning resolution of all disagreements
• Ensuring that the Company complies with the legislation necessities related to data protection
• Managing, researching and reviewing implication of case law, legislation etc. influencing the Company and reporting to the General Manager

Requirements

• Education: minimum LLM/LLB Degree in Law.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing industry & computer literate
• Technical skills: fluent in Amharic and English (speaking and writing), analytically strong, strong financial knowledge and skills, strong administration skills, strong knowledge on Ethiopian rules & regulations, strong computer skills, strategic thinker, very good planner.
