Mulugeta Mekonnen Import Export is engaged in a well-diversified business sectors such as import, export, manufacturing, transport, rental, construction, water drilling.   The Company is in a transformation process to support its processes with well-designed policies and procedures and integration through the ERP System. As part of the implementation, wee would like to invite qualified, experienced and energetic candidates/applicants for Manager- Finance Department  position.

Key   Responsibilities and Requirements

• Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
• Draw the annual plan and budget in collaboration with other departments and submit for the decision of the Board of Directors.
• Ensure the proper execution of the approved plan and budget as per the action plan drawn for its implementation and submit periodic reports to the Board of Directors.
• Ensure the timely recording of the accounting transactions and its quality in terms of accuracy, reliability, completeness, and other parameters through coordinating and coaching the finance team.
• Ensure the adequacy of internal control system to manage the risks associated with the accounting records, regulatory requirements, and other financial related transaction of the Company.
• Ensure periodical reports including regulatory reports (monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual and as required by the management) such as balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow statement, changes in financial position/budget variance analyses, and others as required by the senior management are produced on time.
• Plan, assign and evaluate/review the performance of Head of the Finance & Senior staffs of the Department.
• Remarkable Knowledge and well proved working experience in Import, export, manufacturing and  other sectors is advantageous,
• Basic computer knowledge particularly accounting software and other related accounting system, like MS office, Peachtree accounting. Knowledge and experience in the implementation and running of ERP/MRP is a plus.
• Must be proactive and have the ability to recognize various Cost Accounting issues (such as inventory valuation problems and gross margin issues) and take the initiative to quickly resolve.
• Good Knowledge of financial governance such as GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations as per the governing rules (for both management and legal requirement purposes)
• Command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills is required.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions
• Strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues with external and internal customers.

• Undertake other duties which are appropriate to the level of the position, as directed by the Executives.

Working place is in Addis Ababa at Head office and Burayou, Factory Premise

Education

• BA Degree  or MA in Accounting and Finance or related fields

Work experience

• 8 years for BA, and 5 years for MA. For both at least 3 years as Manager (Chief Finance Officer) -Finance Department
