About 8 years ago, MECHATU TRADING S.C, was established with 99 founding shareholders as home grown company to engage in Global and Domestic Trade.  Utmost, the company is established on a broad base, with well experienced traders, and educated shareholders of assorted fields. Now the subscribed and paid-up capital of the company has reached 18.5 million. The main activities engross import & export trading.

Moreover, Merchatu Tradin S.C is in the process of establishing its   new Edible Oil and Animal feeds line processing factory which the future plant will locate in Oromia Regional State, Holeta City on secured land of investment from the City Administration which covers 10 thousand m2.

In meantime, MechaTu would like to invite competent candidates to hire on the following vacant posts. 

Summary of the Jobs

It is to provide highest leadership and management, set policy and strategies and instigate executable procedures for  Marketing & Operation   Division and sub-functions that encompass overall  Company’s  Strategic and Operation plan vis-à-vis marketing, Sales, Export and Import tasks  Issues,  Warehouse Management , and properly  manage and operate in a systematic ways applying required tools, support top management professionally and guide  Sales, Marketing,  Export and Import Operation and Decimation  Team and integrate sub-sections team activities and efforts to support  and achieve Mechatu’s vision and missions make them actionable, draft key strategic plan docs, periodically set or prepare  operation plan for review, and set and perform interim achievable targets etc,  ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with the company’s polices , standard, procedures, and values, expected direction.

Number of Staff Needs for each vacant post : 1 (One)

Duty Station: Head office, A.A. and occasional fields or   Project site visit

Job Requirements

Core Technical and attributes competencies affiliated to the jobs position is highly demanded.

Minimum Education:

  • MA/MBA/BA in Marketing/Management/ Economics/ Related fields or   B.A in Marketing/Management/ Business Administration /Economics Fields or related fields  plus 7/9/ years relevant experience.


  •  7/9 Years of experiences  in competitive export  and import trading  and operation    in  agro-products export ( coffee and multi –agro products ) and diversified Import items of domestic and Global  business  Env’t  in developing, analyzing,  planning .  managing , and operating multi-facets products marketing and sales  matters    out of which  at least holds 2/3  years of managerial or senior professional positions experience  and competent enough in strategy crafting related core issues and capable and competent  to apply sales and marketing  tactics  in highly reputable company ,  relevant certificate of custom clearing,  Export and Import logistics and operation skills  is a plus.

Language skills:

  • Speaking, reading, writing and communicating in English, Afaan Oromo and Amharic Languages are required.
