Awash Wine SC. Established in 1936 Awash is proud to be Ethiopia’s oldest winemaker. With over 80 years serving the local and international market, we are one of the country’s most beloved brands. The company was acquired in September 2013 through a local and international partnership. Our international staff, with a combined 82 years of experience in the beverage industry, collaborates with local 614 employees at our two production facilities in Addis Ababa and our vineyard in Merti Jeju, Upper Awash. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives.

Main Responsibilities

• records/Maintain Activity logs
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service whenever necessary
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Refer to equipment manuals and standard operating procedures to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities as per per-set schedules
• Collaborate with other mechanics and electricians during the installation, refurbishment and periodic preventive maintenance of production
• Conduct periodic debriefing to machine operators about the proper use and light maintenance of machine
• Follow up and report to immediate supervises for supply of maintenance tools and material
• Operate production machines whenever necessary following immediate supervisors order
• React timely to maintenance requests Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
