Job Summary        

The nursing & education manager will be responsible for creating an environment of patient-focused care, defining standards for quality patient care, managing and developing work-based teams, train & develop staff and providing leadership and guidance to employee under his/her supervision.

Detail Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Plan & overseeing the department budgets
  • Supervising and reviewing diagnostic, refraction, screening nurse, pharmacy, front desk and medical staff activities.
  • Interacting with medical doctors and nursing staff for proper function of the center patients and credit organizational clients.
  • Ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures of the medical staff, nursing and health professionals
  • Assigning staff and monitoring their activities, train existing and new staff about over all procedure patient care.
  • Overseeing and coordinating an organization’s diagnostic, refraction, screening, nursing staff and its daily operations
  • Leading the nursing, Diagnostic staff in delivering excellent care to patients and offering quality support to the medical & professional staff
  • Ensuring that each nurse, medical, optometry staff is properly certified and abides by the standards for care established by the organization state and federal laws. Maintaining high standards of care
  • Creating new policies and update existing policies to help improve the level of care for each patient
  • Implementing quality improvement programs designed to  deliver the highest possible levels of service
  • Ensuring that all patient care plans have the documentation necessary to provide the proper type of care.
  •  Serve as a mentor and promote discussion among patient care staff member.
  •  Collaborates with medical providers, pharmacy, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of outstanding customer service.
  • Leading the local & foreign medicine and medical equipment purchase committee. Ensure the availability of medicine needed for the center. Asses the stock of medicine and the medical equipment, supplies necessary to carry out the day to day activities of the center.
  • Initiate skills development programs and carriers development of the core staff of the center within the parameters of established procedure & polices of health service, assess the performance of all diagnostic, refraction, screening, OPD & OR nursing duties, monitors trends and implements strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
  • Develop patient care plans, incorporating evidence –based research and national standards; to ensure quality patient care. Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customized care plans.
  • Educates technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required skill and Education 

Education

  • BSC/Master in clinical Nursing and have  professional License

Experience

  • Minimum 14/12 years in similar areas and 4 year in managerial position

Technical and other  skills

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner
  • Competency in computer applications
  • Ability to analyze and solve the problems
  • Ability to work under pressure
