Job Description
Purpose:
- Under the general direction of the Capex manager participate in implementation of Greenfield project.
- Prepare engineering studies, technical specifications, evaluate bidders’ offers according to evaluation criteria document; prepare bidding documents;
- Supervise construction activities; accept works upon completion; advise the CAPEX Projects Manager on project progress and status.
Main Areas of responsibility:
- Coordinate all phases of assigned project scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations with Procurement, related bid meetings, equipment and facilities engineering study/design, manufacturing, and installation through final start-up, acceptance and project closure;
- Technical support and the commissioning, concerning analysis of technical problems and answering of technical inquiries;
- Prepare and manage design analyze and update project scopes;
- Assist in the supervision, scheduling and checking of works and work closely with other departments;
- Incoming Materials (quantity, quality) management on site;
- Coordinate activities on site with different suppliers and contractors consider approved project schedule;
- Lead executing of project per agreed cost, schedule, and performance. Provide update about the project permanently;
- Oversee contractor work and compliance with JTI quality standards, Government regulation (Alcoa, Federal/State), Environmental, Health and Safety policies, and JTI policies;
- Coach and mentor team members within the facility in areas of expertise including technical training, problem solving, and knowledge transfer;
- Lead As-built documents preparation with close collaboration with contractors and consultant;
- Improve and Maintain safety and housekeeping standards on site in accordance with JTI requirements;
- Performs other project related activities as per cascaded business objectives.
Other:
- Performs other similar activities as instructed by the CAPEX Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Education:
- B.Sc. in Construction Engineering
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience
Skills:
- Actively involved in big size industrial construction projects,
- Good knowledge and experience on building, utilities standards, EHS, advance level of MS office programs, active user of AutoCAD, with managerial skills.
