On behalf of a well renowned Engineering firm Adira Employment is recruiting for Project Manager Position. The organization is committed to the task of designing and developing various types of water treatment systems, swimming pool systems, centralized water heating and steam generation systems, air conditioning systems, firefighting systems, sewage and waste water treatment systems, solid waste treatment systems and air pollution protection systems.


  1. Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Participate on project planning activities by providing engineering milestones and requirements
  • Lead the engineering and technical team through the day to day activities of projects
  • Define provisional manpower histograms and control the qualification of assigned engineering and technical personnel to projects
  • Participate on the induction of the engineering team as per the contract/project requirements
  • Ensure the issuance, validation and maintenance of the project equipment and key engineering documents as applicable to each project
  • Ensure that engineering activity is compliant with project milestones. Alert General Manager in case of unforeseen variation and suggests if needed mitigation measures
  • Ensure effective technical coordination and good communication with client's representatives
  • Consolidate engineering budget based on department’s budgets and control the budget during the course of the project. Alerts the General Manager in case of variation and suggests mitigation measures
  • Lead and attend the design and safety reviews and supervise the follow up of the outcomes
  • Contribute to Project reporting for the engineering part (activities, quantities, budget, and areas of concern...);
  1. Required Qualifications

(a)  Academic Qualification and experience

  • BSC in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with at list 6 years’ relevant professional experience and a strong track record in the management of detailed engineering activities
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of expertise (e.g. Business administration, project management) would be advantageous

 (b) Other Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Amharic and English
  • Willingness to work on weekends and at night

  • As per the scale of the company
