Silafrica Ethiopia Branch is inviting qualified applicants for the position of Quality Assurance Manager

Department: Production

Job Summarization:

Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems; validating processes; providing documentation; managing staffs, Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Devising procedures to inspect and report quality assurance issues;
  • Monitoring all operations that affect quality;
  • Supervising and guiding inspectors, technicians and other staff;
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews, assuring customer-service standards; completing audits;
  • Preparing an annual budget; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions;
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; verification procedures; monitoring inventories;
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, writing and updating quality assurance procedures;
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs;
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes;
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments;

Job Requirements

Education:

  • BA or above an industry-related fields. Certifications in Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, have distinctive advantage.

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years direct related experience.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, systems approach, ERP exposure and computer friendly are mandatory. Process Improvement, Analyzing Information, Strategic Planning, Informing Others, Emphasizing Excellence, Attention to Detail, Dealing with Complexity.
