Job Purpose
To provide customers with information about solar-powered equipment and achieve sales targets. As the first point of contact with customers, you will provide detailed information about cost savings and energy incentives relating to solar-powered products and equipment. Your duties will include analyzing the needs of the customers, calculating resources, preparing quotes, demonstrating our products, and preparing sales reports. You may also be required to visit regional customer sites and consult on installations.

  • Generating new customer leads through various channels
  • Achieving the monthly sales targets, assigned to him/her, for various products and services
  • Providing customers with information about company equipment
  • Resolving customer queries/issues and facilitating customer service
  • Maintaining periodic status reports, including daily activity reports and calls/follow-ups made
  • Demonstrating company solar products in a working environment
  • Providing customers with quotes, sales orders, shipping information, and tax credit information
  • Providing after-sales service including courtesy calls and site visits
  • Completing sales order paperwork including customer database
  • Designing appropriate sales strategies that support the achievement of sales objectives of Green Scene Energy Plc
  • Delivering high-impact sales campaigns and documenting the results of campaigns delivered
  • Preparing sales reports and following up on the sales operation
  • Working on regional off-grid rural areas of Ethiopia for on-site promotional campaigns

Job Requirements

  • Passion (must take initiative and not avoid sales targets)
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales and marketing or a relevant field
  • Three years of proven work experience in sales roles
  • Rural sales experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of solar equipment and installations
  • Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • Ability to travel and work in field sites (rural off-grid areas of Ethiopia)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software and social media platforms
  • Should be self-motivated & able to demonstrate a drive for results with a professional approach
  • Qualified female applicants are highly encouraged
  • Fluency in both Amharic and English oral and written communication. Knowledge of other local languages is a plus
