      About the Organization:

VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund is currently operating in four of the Regional States of the country.

VisionFund MFI is currently looking for candidates for the position of Business Development & Partneship Department Manager. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

  1. Major Responsibilities:

·         Formulates long and medium term corporate strategies of the Institution and when approved communicates same to the staff and other stakeholders and follows –up its proper implementation;

·         Consolidates work units annual work plan and prepares annual work plan of the company and follow-up performances achieved;

·         Monitors and evaluates the executions of annual plans and reports to supervisors;

·         Carry out studies on the terms and tariffs as well as pricing strategy of the Institution;

·         Carry out studies on new products and services as well as e-banking services for implementation;

·         Conduct feasibility study for new branch opening or relocation of the existing ones;

·         Develop project proposals for donor funding;

·         Negotiate and lobby for grant fund to be obtained from development partner organizations;

·         Prepares periodic reports on the utilization of grant funds and reports to the financiers;

·         Designs an appropriate marketing strategy to attract customers;

·         Measures customer satisfaction and performance of the Institution on a continuous basis;

·         Identifies new market opportunities and develops targeted value offerings;

·         Conducts programs designed to enhance image building of the Institution;

·         Communicates achievements made by the company to different stakeholders, donors and the community through different media;

·         Identify key media opportunities and execute media campaign to enhance the institutions reputation;

·         Documents success stories of customers for reference;

·         Handles publication of periodic news bulletins of the Institution and distributes to all concerned parties;

·         Documents and shares lessons learned from the experience of other national and international MFIS;

·         Performs other task as instructed by the immediate Supervisor.

Job Requirements

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

·         University degree in marketing/Economics/Management/ or related fields

·         At least 10 years of related experience out of which 4 years in a middle level management position

·         Prior experience partnership and product development is preferred.

·         Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team

·         Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude

·         Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization Ideals and Core Values

·         Be proficient in Microsoft office applications

·         Good knowledge in economic topics

·         Very good communication and marketing skills
