To plan, organize and manage a comprehensive procurement function which focuses on ethical, cost effective and well planned sourcing of products and services that meet Company standards.

1. Select suppliers, create and manage a transparent and effective bidding process, evaluate the terms, deliverables and commercial aspects, negotiations and contract management.

2. Provide financial and quantitative analysis

3. Identify appropriate suppliers and agree terms; negotiate supply agreements where appropriate including discount stocks and volume rebates.

4. Improve purchase methods to drive down cost of products and services.

5. Continuously review purchase processes in order to identify and implement improvements and controls in the function.

6. Create and maintain a vendor performance management system, including approved vendors, vendor records for all product categories and services and vendor review mechanism.

7. Implement and manage a robust and systematic vendor rating system based on agreed parameters.

8. Maintain buying information for all product categories and services including soft copy files and records.

9. Respond to inquiries from a variety of internal & external sources for the purpose of providing information, direction, and / or appropriate referrals.

10. Supervise assigned staff for the purpose of ensuring work assignments are complete and within the department objectives.

11. Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department.

Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline

4-5 years of purchasing, vendor & financial management experience

High levels of integrity

Excellent analytical skills

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
