Description

KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Senior Vehicle Sales Engineer position:

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides technical information and specification in relation to vehicles and accessories; Prepares technical specification for extension board drawings; Prepares technical tender documents; makes assessment on PDI reports; follow up all received vehicles are ready for delivery with remarks based on PDI report; makes sure to analyze bill of quantity for extension board and additional works; registers and makes a thorough follow-up on customer orders and distributes according to the PDI report; prepares and checks proforma invoices in relation to vehicle and accessories; Supports vehicles sales activities, provide technical training to sales persons, customers and drivers on the product technical specifications and safety.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical information and specification in relation to vehicles and accessories.
  • Prepares technical specification for extension board drawings.
  • Prepares technical tender documents.
  • Follows up extension board orders and communicates with production team.
  • Makes assessment on PDI (Pre-Deliver Inspection) reports and ensures that defect is corrected.
  • Follows up all received vehicles are ready for delivery with all remarks based on PDI report.
  • Communicates with maintenance and concerned work unit for quick maintenance of defects, if any, on imported new vehicles.
  • Makes sure to analyze bill of quantity for extension board & additional work.
  • Collects customer feedback and compiles and reports market research information including competitor’s analysis.
  • Assists in resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Confers with potential customers regarding vehicle needs and advises customers on model and specification of vehicles.
  • Explains on performance and major features of vehicles of the company to customers.
  • Provides timely feedback in areas of market requirements, customer issues.
  • Assists and participates in the preparation and distribution of sales monthly reports.
  • Checks sales contracts, vehicle issue orders, invoices and other relevant documents.
  • Registers and makes a thorough follow-up on customer orders till delivery is finalized.
  • Follow-up the performance of production/manufacturing in regards to order given by sales on various body works, “panel” work, grill etc.
  • Discuss the schedule for “panel” delivery time with the production department and informs to the concerned staff.
  • Follows up, prepares and submits organized customer information and feedback to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintains sales activities records and reports to immediate supervisor.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and phone, electronically (e-mail, fax, etc.) or in person.
  • Participates in market research and surveys.
  • Prepares periodic reports and submits to his/her immediate supervisor.
  • Provide technical training to sales force, customers and drivers.
  • Support the marketing team in preparation of catalogs, broaches, sign posts, etc..
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification                    :  B.Sc. Degree in Automotive Technology & Mechanical Engineering field of study

Work Experience            : 3 years for B.Sc. Degree with relevant sales & marketing skill in vehicle sales; preferably on ISUZU vehicles, trucks or machinery

Required Competence    : Interpersonal, Communication, customer service and computer application
