Job Summary:- The Supply Chain Specialist has a role to plan, and efficiently process the procurement and dispatch of products (decoders, accessories, marketing materials …etc.) liaising with supplier (MAH), banks, customs office and other relevant government bodies and stakeholders.

He/she oversees the Inventory function /stock control to ensure the products are received, located, stored, retrieved, distributed timely and correctly

Closely works with Finance Team to maximizing available working capital through maintaining the right amount of stock.

Prepare annual and quarterly procurement plan and volume forecasting in close collaboration with sales and other relevant departments.

As per approved plan and budget, draw implementation action plan to ensure that products are ordered, shipped and cleared timely and cost effectively

Prepare proforma invoices, follow-up purchasing order status, delivery schedule and shipping of products and documents;

Give proper instruction about documentation requirements to supplier (MAH), cross check and verify invoices and other import documents from supplier before shipment.

Follow with supplier for documentation and shipment schedule to meet delivery time

Facilitate Foreign Purchase under TT/LC/CAD with performing the required activities and documentations under each payment terms,

Process Forex approval with bank, bank permits & all other authorisations from government bodies (including Ethiopian Communications Authority, and INSA)

Collect and validate full set of shipping documents from bank and transfer for custom clearance,

Lead customs clearing process and ensure on time clearing of the products working closely with a transitory.

Maintain records of goods ordered and received in finance systems, including SAP

Ensure inventory accuracy and overall documentation relating to stock movements and levels.

Manages the work of store persons by closely supervising all stores and related activities regularly.

Stay current and up to date on any changes in the business that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and advise the management on inventory levels

Prepare and submit monthly and other periodical reports (Purchasing, warehouse and inventory) for senior management

Perform other tasks and support the team as per the assignment by the immediate Supervisor

Job Requirements

 BA Degree in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing & Supplies, or other related field.

At least 5-years of experience In import/export role and supply chain. In-depth knowledge and experience of import procedures and Ethiopian customs rules and procedures

Knowledge of import/export processes and requirements.

Working knowledge of Single window portal

Working knowledge and experience on SAP is advantageous.

Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadline

Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Good people management and coordination skills.

Excellent financial acumen and good numeracy skills.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.

Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

Having a driving experience  is advantages
