Zerihun Associates is an international development consultancy and research firm specializing in impact evaluations. The firm's major intervention areas include process evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis, household and enterprise survey data collection, electronic survey designs, data quality management, and data analysis and reporting.

Zerihun Associates is looking for highly motivated and capable professionals to fill the post of Survey Supervisor for its data collection projects to be conducted in the next three months.

The Survey Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and leading the survey team during surveys and assessments in Zerihun Associates' upcoming projects. The Supervisor will also be liable to provide technical support for the team, to make sure supervised standard survey methodologies are applied during the survey period, to check the quality of data through Survey CTO software and to provide timely feedback for the team.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage a survey team of at least 5 data collectors;
  • Mange survey vehicle during data collection;
  • Coordinate with the office during the field survey;
  • Manage the finance of the survey team;
  • Help data collectors identify the selected households for an interview;
  • Work with local officials and communities for smooth implementation of the survey;
  • Help obtain approval from local officials for the survey;
  • Check collected household data for accuracy, completeness, and quality on Smart Phone/Tablets;
  • Identify any errors that might have occurred during data collection and immediately notify the; enumerator for correction;
  • Sync data collected during the day;
  • Report challenges encountered (if any) to the Survey Coordinator on a daily basis;
  • Manage -Tablets, Power bank, Solar Power, charger, Different Health measurements materials, and other survey equipment;
  • Other activities to help conduct the survey.

Job Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum of BA degree from a Ministry of Education recognized Collage and need to have good knowledge of English and Amharic.  Additional local languages (Gamogna, Gofagna, Siltegna, Guragegna are a plus);

Experience:

Two or more years of Supervision Experience (Knowledge of CAPI, notably SurveyCTO, is an advantage)

Job Locations:

SNNPR Region, across the four Zones (Gamo, Gofa, Site, and Gurage).
