Description
I. BACKGROUND
Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is an Ethiopian Development Organization established in 2005 and reregistered by the Authority for Civil Society Organizations as Ethiopian Development Civil Society Organization with Certificate № 0321 under Proclamation № 1113/2019. ECDD is working with other organizations to promote and facilitate the inclusion of persons with disabilities and disability issues in mainstream service delivery and development programs envisioning an Inclusive Ethiopia where persons with disabilities exercise the same rights and have access to the same services and opportunities enjoyed by other citizens.
Introduction
As part of the Advancing Disability Voice, Rights Advocacy, and National Coordination in Ethiopia (ADVANCE) Project, ECDD wants to deploy a consultancy service to “Review Local Accessibility Standards and Propose Recommendations”. The output of this study will be presented to relevant authorities of respective institutions. Thus, ECDD is looking for qualified and interested consulting firm or individual to conduct the review of local accessibility standards and propose possible recommendations.
Duration of the work
The consultancy service shall be completed within four weeks from the signing of the agreement.
Mode of payment:
The professional fee for the service will be made in two phases; the first phase of the payment will be 40% of the agreed amount upon the submission of the inception report and the second phase 60% of the agreed amount shall be made after the submission of the final document and approval of the work.
Job Requirements
The following are the requirements:
1. An individual or team of professionals in relevant fields of study,
2. At least five years of experience in conducting consultancy service in the area of disability inclusion and accessibility,
3. Tertiary education in the areas of disability studies, social work, special needs education, engineering,
4. Renewed licenses,
5. Persons with disabilities who fulfill the above criteria are highly encouraged,
Technical proposal will be weighed out of 70% and the financial proposal will be given 30% weight.
