Description

This position is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair and upkeep of the company facilities and equipment. He/ she has to ensure that the co-workers have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to the allotted budget. Additionally, he/ she should have a solid understanding of electrical systems, compressor machine installation and repair, and other factory machinery and equipment such as generator and others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage preventative maintenance planning, budgeting and execution
  • Manage, motivate, develop and provide direct leadership to maintenance staff
  • Establish and maintain high standards in all the sheds, offices and residence of the company, including but not limited to, standard upkeep, monitor electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality, handle maintenance orders, check the lights, electricity system, generator, machines, compressor, temperature, and repairs, paint and clean when needed, and scheduling of all work, etc.
  • Execute regular maintenance and keep record
  • Manage the sheds and monitor electrician, mechanics, maintenance staff, plumber, civil work staff, contractors, etc
  • Maintain, test and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components, including but not limited to programmable controls, power distribution and test equipment
  • Ensure the designated buildings, plants and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/ solutions when required
  • Execute and follow up daily maintenance requests from departments according to company operational procedures
  • Annual budget management pertaining to maintenance costs
  • Follow up and monitor maintenance progress and ensure overall compliance with company standards
  • Contract management and compliance with regulations
  • Develop and apply continuous improvements in the departments and Kaizen including six sigma
  • Maintain proper documentation in the department

Qualifications

  • BSC or above in Electrical or Mechanical or related discipline
  • 8 years' experience overseeing facility & maintenance management preferably in garment or related manufacturing industry
  • Possess knowledge and experience in installation & maintenance of compressor, generators, hydraulic, electric, water and pressure systems, and experience in maintenance of electrical and mechanical machines
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, internet, and other computer skills
  • Comfortable to work at all levels within a company, including Factory General Manager, department heads as well as supporting staff
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong initiative on many different types of projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to manage complex projects while adhering to deadlines
